Digital Media Spring 2021

   For this project, I wanted to do an issue that I really care about and I love animals, so I went with an important problem. I have two dogs in the poster and words emphasizing that these animals are family. I covered half of my profile with the dogs so that it kind of blends in. I am very proud of how this turned out and I believe it is a convincing argument.  I made the dogs black and white as a nice contrast and I used a light purple background to present and comforting and calm feeling. I made my face red like the rage and anger I have toward the subject and I wanted to hide my face to make the dogs the main focus. I put the words "end pet abandonment" over and over so it emphasizes the importance of this issue and to make sure my argument is clear. This took about 3-4 hours.

 For this project, I wanted to make my logo using a few symbols that symbolizes me in different ways. I like the symbol of a globe so I included that into my logo by creating Australia, which is one of the countries I really want to visit. I added a cross to represent my relationship with God and to show that he is important to me and I added a Saturn ring around the Earth to symbolize dance because my senior dance solo was called Saturn and I wanted to incorporate that into my logo. The colors used represent trustworthiness, creativity, and optimism which I think are words that describe me or what I aspire to be.  I mostly used the pen tool for that and I used gradient to outline different symbols so they pop out more. I am very proud of how this turned out and I really enjoyed doing this project. It took about 2 hours to create the symbol itself.

  Calligram Inspiration I am so proud of myself for this project. This is one I actually enjoyed doing and I didn't find that frustrating. I wanted to write my letter into Hogwarts because I love the school structure and it has a lot of symbolism and it's unique. This was instantly my first idea but I didn't think I was going to go through with it because I knew it was going to be a little harder and take longer but I decided to go through with it.  I used the pen tool to outline the buildings and the rocks and the bridges and the path text to do some of the roofs and the text to fill in the shapes I created. I used the curve tool a little bit but mostly the pen tool. In some places where I needed to fill in smaller buildings, I filled in with random text. I also included some Harry Potter quotes and Bible verses that are special to me. This took about 4-5 hours.
